Reality Stars WATN Week, Reality Stars Where are they now? Theme Week, Banner

When the MTV series Teen Mom is brought up, several perceptions pop up into people's minds.

Some immediately picture teenagers who can't avoid trouble. Others go straight to young parents struggling to hold onto relationships. On top of that, cameras prove season after season that being a young parent is never easy.

But once the spotlight faded away or these young moms went from teenagers to adults, many were able to turn their lives around for the better.

In honor of Reality Stars Where Are They Now Week at E! News, we're taking a look at some of the memorable cast members who have taken steps to improve their lives.

And while no parent is perfect and some drama remains amongst these reality stars, we have to give credit where credit is due.

1. Amber Portwood

After losing custody of her daughter and serving a five-year sentence on drug possession charges, Amber was able to take control of her life. The Never Too Late author has ended her custody battle with ex Gary Shirley and has fallen in love again. The Teen Mom OG star got engaged to Matt Baier and they are currently planning a wedding. "I never thought I could find another man that could make me feel love again, honestly," she shared with E! News. "I feel more love for him than I ever have for anybody."

With a new book titled Hustle and Heart available Nov. 22, fans of Kailyn are getting a better sense of how much the reality star has overcome since her difficult childhood. After experiencing an absentee father and a mother who abused alcohol, the 24-year-old is now trying her best to give her kids a normal, healthy life. Currently, Kailyn is raising her six-year-old son Isaac Elliot Rivera and two-year-old son Lincoln Marshall Marroquin from estranged husband Javi Marroquin.

3. Farrah Abraham

While the reality star continues to make waves—wait for her reunion show fight with a fellow castmember—Farrah calls herself a "business mogul" thanks to her yogurt shop FroCo and her Texas furniture store titled Furnished By Farrah. Even her daughter Sophia has a children's boutique titled Sophia Laurent. Her relationships have also improved with immediate family members including her mom Debra.

5. Catelynn Lowell

While the Teen Mom OG star has always been a fan-favorite, many followers grew to respect the mother-of-two even more when she recently checked herself into a treatment facility to battle her postpartum depression. "I think it was one of the hardest decisions I've had to come to, but I need to do for myself and my family," she shared with People. "It was really just one day where I was like, ‘You know what, I think I need more help than what I'm getting here. I need time to focus on myself,' and I kind of just was like ‘I need to do it.' And I did it."
