Kordell Stewart is ready to tell his side of the story.
On an episode ofThe Steve Harvey Show airing Wednesday, the former NFL star opens up about his ex-wife Porsha Williams and sets the record straight on rumors surrounding his sexuality.
Stewart, whose book Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story was released earlier this year, begins by addressing ongoing gay rumors while talking to host Steve Harvey."I wanted to wait until I had the opportunity to speak to you about this," he says. Stewart then recounts a story dating back to 1998 in which a when a friend called him saying he heart he had been arrested in the park having "lewd acts" performed on him by a transexual person.
"First of all, when in the world have I gone to jail in Pittsburgh, because there's no record," Stewart says. "I don't care if it's 10, 20, 30 years [ago]. If it happened, it would be documented, let alone, being with a transvestite. Now, each is own Steve. Trust me when I tell you, but the life I started and live with my family...the thing I understood about life, is when God created the heaven and earth, he created Adam and Eve. That's all I know. I don't know anything else."
False rumors aren't the only thing Stewart has moved on from: A certain Real Housewives of Atlanta star is in his past, too. "You know, I loved my ex-wife," he says of Williams, but it stops there. "That's old and that's over with, Steve," he adds. "You know, I have a 13-year-old kid to raise."
So does Stewart regret participating in RHOA?"No, I really don't Steve, because you know what I've seen of my ex as of lately, conducting herself, just imagine if we was together for five more years with two children," he says. "That wouldn't have been good."
Stewart also tells Harvey his thoughts on how things ended with Williams. "She came in with a tough situation and then she came out with the Atlanta Housewives show, with making five to six figures, something more than she's ever had," he says. "So when people say 'I ran her off'--'she left with nothing'-- she left with a lot."
