Hugh Jackman has officially put the claws back on.
For his final foray into the world of Wolverine, the Oscar nominee revealed the official movie poster and title of the upcoming sequel to the franchise. The film will be called Logan and will hit theaters March 3.
Director James Mangold is making his official return to the character after having directed Jackman in 2013's The Wolverine, which followed the events of 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand.
While little is known about the plot of the new film, the poster features Wolverine's scraped claw gripping a much smaller hand—possibly belonging to an unafraid child. Has Wolverine started a family of his own?
Ryan Reynolds has one theory. "That's my hand holding Logan's in the new poster. #tender," he tweeted.
Additionally, the director shared the second page of the film's script on Twitter Wednesday morning, revealing that the Marvel character has fallen into a drunk slump.
Jackman took to the streets of New York City to pay tribute to the newly minted poster. "Corner of Bleecker & Lafayette," he shared with fans.
According to IMDB, Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as Professor X and Orange Is the New Black actress Elizabeth Rodriguez will star in the role of Gabriela.
Since the film marks the end of Jackman's career-spanning journey as Wolverine, the actor feels the pressure now more than ever.
"I feel that I'm pushing harder than I've ever pushed before. I suppose the stakes just go up when you announce before your last season that this is your last season, you don't want one game to not be your best, " he told Collider. "People ask me, 'How are you gonna be able to let it go?' To me the only way you can let it go is if you left blood every day on the studio floor."
