Shannen Doherty has scored a victory in her lawsuit against her former management company.
The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star sued Tanner Mainstain Glynn & Johnson and its one of its former partners in August 2015, alleging that the accounting firm mismanaged her money and allowed her health insurance to lapse in 2014. As a result, she alleges her breast cancer diagnosis was delayed. On Friday, she and the firm reached a settlement that's contingent on conditions that need to be met within 45 days. The conditions and the settlement sum were not disclosed.
Doherty has been fighting her cancer battle in the public eye, sharing pictures of her mom and friends shave her head while undergoing chemotherapy. The Charmed alum perfectly captioned the series of photos, "#cancersucks" and "#thankgodforfriends."
The actress also praised her husband for his ongoing support through her battle, telling fans in an Instagram caption that her marriage to Kurt Iswarienko only has gotten stronger since receiving her diagnosis. Doherty also received a shout out from some of her Hollywood BFFs, including Sarah Michelle Gellar.
"My #MondayMuse (and really every day #Muse) is my brave friend @theshando. I've always said she is one of the most loyal friends I've ever known, and now while she is facing the toughest journey of her life, she is sharing it with friends she has never met in the hopes of helping other people who are going through the same struggle," she captioned an emotional picture on Instagram.
Doherty first revealed her cancer diagnosis when she filed the lawsuit against her former accounting firm. After the revelation, Doherty said she was set to undergo chemotherapy and have a mastectomy.
TMZ was the first to report the settlement.
