Jeff Goldblum loves every aspect of fatherhood.

The Independence Day: Resurgence actor welcomed a son, Charlie Ocean Goldblum, on the 4th of July. When he appeared on TBS' Conan Monday, he heard an "audible gasp" after mentioning his son's name. "Well, Charlie, that's, uh...and Ocean, that's a little out there," host Conan O'Brien told his 62-year-old guest.

"It is. But is it too out there?" Jeff asked. "I love the ocean."

"Oh, so you did name him after the ocean?" Andy Richter asked. I thought it might have been a coincidence." Conan joked, "Maybe you had a great uncle Ocean or something. I don't know. We just thought it was possible." Jeff joked it was inspired by Ocean Spray, to which Andy said, "Cranberries?"

"Delightful. Delightful. Horrible concoction!" the actor said of Ocean Spray. "You take that cranberry sauce out of that can and slice into slices. What a horrible, horrible dish! I'm sorry, Ocean Spray people!"

Jokes aside, Conan asked, "Are you good with the baby?"

"Yeah," Jeff replied. "I think so."

Jeff praised his "dear, dear wife" Emilie Livingston. "She's so wonderful. She's so good." The actor also admitted that he's a "very good" diaper changer. Charlie, meanwhile, is "so good and sweet. I enjoy him. I love him to bits. I nuzzle him, I smell him, I kiss him, I talk to him, I make jokes with him, I sing to him."

He then shared a video showing a tender father-son moment.

After the video was done, Conan asked, "Are you going to have a bris?"

"Going to have one? Nobody has one later. Maybe they do. No, we had one early on. But not a bris meaning the traditional and ritualistic religioso affair, but medically—although it was a question before—but finally we decided upon it," Jeff said. "You know what a bris does? You know what it is? I think everybody does." Conan shuddered as he explained, "It's a circumcision. The foreskin is removed."

Dr. Randy Harris, who used to play for the New York Mets, performed the circumcision. "He said, 'I don't sing the traditional blessing. I sing 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' as I'm doing it. If you want to join in...'" Jeff recalled. "And we did!"
