Taking a chance on ABBA the Museum wasn't a sure bet after all.

"There is no doubt that there will be an ABBA museum, although it may take a while longer than expected," project cofounder Ulf Westman said in a statement announcing that the attraction dedicated to the Swedish pop group will not be open by June 4, 2009—or any other time next year.

Westman said that the renovation of the proposed site, the 100-year-old Stora Tullhuset in Stockholm, is turning out to be more complicated than previously though.

"It's better to make this decision at an early stage, even though it's a sad message," Westman said.

Then again, if fans can sit through Pierce Brosnan butchering "S.O.S.," waiting a little longer for an ABBA shrine is nothing.
