If there’s a night to go star-sighting, this would be the night.

Queen Latifah and Jennifer Hudson’s new film Secret Life of Bees will be kicking off tonight's red carpet activities. Expect to also see Dakota Fanning, Alicia Keys and Sophie Okonedo join the two divas on the red carpet.

Dueling off with the ladies will be Ricky Gervais and Greg Kinnear (sans Téa Leoni) who will be premiering their film Ghost Town at the other end of the city.

Meanwhile, Zac Efron and Claire Daines will be doing their thing at the Ryerson theatre for the World Premiere of Richard Linklater’s Me and Orson Welles.

Right after the Bees premiere, they’ll be rolling out the red again but this time round for the Coen Brother’s star-packed flick Burn After Reading. Brad Pitt, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton and the Coens (of course) will all be promoting the buzziest film at the festival.

Rock luminaries like Jack White (who will also be shooting his Quantum of Solace video with Alicia Keys that weekend), Jimmy Page and The Edge will be strutting their stuff in support of this film. Rumours are swirling that Tenacious D frontman Jack Black will also be joining the rock dudes.
