The actor and his Project Runway-producing wife, Desiree Gruber, are celebrating the birth of their first child, E! News has learned.
Callum Lyon MacLachlan made his world premiere at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Friday. The boy weighed in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces, according to the actor's publicist, Evelyn Karamanos. The rep said mother and baby (and presumably daddy) are "doing well."
The 49-year-old MacLacLachlan, who moved from Manhattan to Wisteria Lane as a regular on Desperate Housewives following his stint as Charlotte's impotent hubby, and the 39-year-old Gruber swapped vows six years ago.
The former Twin Peaks player returns to the big screen next month in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, which he'll follow up with a part in the upcoming Polish brothers comedy, Manure, due out in 2009.
