Last night at ABC's after-party at Tenjune in NYC, the Private Practice cast had much to celebrate along with the show's pickup, as Kate Walsh had just become engaged to Alex Young, a studio executive who is buddies with ABC prez Steve McPherson. Also, costar Merrin Dungey (our beloved Francinator of Alias) was counting down to her own wedding, happening in little more than a week. So much warm-fluffy goodness, no?
Now, Kate's engagement might seem rather sudden, given that she was reportedly romantically linked to Brothers & Sisters star Dave Annable just a short while back—but don't you go cryin' for Dave. He was at the EW party last night completely engulfed by female fans who "just wanted to say hi"—and couldn't have been more of a gentleman and a class act...and couldn't have been more surrounded.
Meanwhile, possible new-couple alert: I spotted a certain leading man of a new NBC series (who used to be on ABC) smooching it up with a certain Friday Night Lights star. I'm hitting the week's biggest party tonight—the Maxim shindig—and will keep my eyes peeled for more deets!
