ABC/Ron TomHoly Crap! Piz alert! Sorry, forgive my excitement, but I just ran across the street from my hotel to get some form of chocolate (a girl has needs!) and ran right into an unexpected source of yumminess: Chris Lowell of Veronica Mars and now Private Practice! He was right outside my hotel door.
And so, after hearing similar rumblings from sources today and spotting Mr. Lowell here in NYC, I feel 100-percent confident in telling you that Private Practice will most definitely be on the ABC schedule for next season.
All will be official-official in just a few short hours, as ABC's upfront day begins. I'll be meeting up with Steve McPherson for a press conference bright and early and giving you updates throughout the day, so make sure to check back early and often.
Meanwhile, in other Piz-related news, no official word yet of Veronica Mars' fate, but I can tell you that, sadly, so far, none of the cast has been booked to travel to NYC for the CW's upfront. Now, the See-Dub's presentation isn't til Thursday morning, so there is still a smidge of time to get them out here, but in past years, the cast had been booked by now. VM fans, keep those fingers crossed that Dawn Ostroff sees the light!
