While some may argue J.Lo's Micheal Kors gown wasn't exactly punk (we think it works!), there's no denying her hair and makeup were effortlessly edgy. With slicked-back sides and an amazingly coiffed top, the actress' faux hawk was pretty darn perfect. Pair that with a smoky eye and her signature nude lips and you've got dark glamour at its best.
One thing's for sure: Anne knows how to make an entrance! The Oscar-winner let her newly blond pixie steal the spotlight while keeping her makeup simple but complementary. Laura Mercier Makeup artist Adam Breuchaud said the actress' lighter 'do allowed him to "use a new, bright color palette" and so he created a flawless "clean face with soft purple smokey eye."
No stranger to the pompadour style it made perfect sense that the actress went with her signature hairstyle for the big event—and pulled it off flawlessly. Then to up the rocker vibe, she added a subtle smokey eye but kept her face natural and lips neutral.
Consider she plays a vampire on TV, it was no biggie for the actress to switch into an edgier look. "We shaved the side of her head! JK! Just made it look like it! Ha!" her hairstylist Riawana Capri joked on Instagram. Accenting her almond-shaped eyes the brunette beauty went with winged shaped black shadow across her entire lid, which gave her smoky eyes a sexier effect.
Completely breaking away from the faux hawks and smokey eyes, J.Law went with a classic Old Hollywood glamour look. With cheery red lips, subtle cat eyes and Jennifer Behr headband with mesh veil, the star clearly dismissed the punk theme—and we love her for it!
