Sterling K. Brown will be playing one seriously fancy game of musical chairs on Sunday, Jan. 8.

Arguably 2016's biggest TV breakout star, Brown's two shows, NBC's This Is Us and FX's American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, are nominated for several Golden Globes, with the 40-year-old actor landing a supporting actor nomination for his work as Christopher Darden on the latter. (Side-note: How he was NOT nominated in the same category for This Is Us is offensive on So. Many. Levels.)

But when we caught up with Brown on the set of This Is Us on Monday morning, he addressed the ultimate nominee problem: Which table will he sit at on the big night?!

This Is Us. Sterling K. Brown

"Goodness gracious, this has become a thing now," Brown told E! News' Erin Lim. "I don't know. I have no clue at all, whatsoever!"

However, Brown does have some experience with this exact problem. "I went back and forth between both tables last night at the Critics' Choice Awards last night," Brown said, adding he'll "more than likely" pull double duty again for the Golden Globes.

As for Brown's This Is Us co-star Chrissy Metz, who was nominated in the best supporting actress category, she had a slightly passive-aggressive message for her on-screen brother when it came to his seating choice. "We're related. Like, you're my brother. Do you know what Johnnie Cochran did to you, Chris Darden? I'm not going to make him feel bad about it though. It's his choice."

In addition to Metz' nomination and This Is Us earned nods for Best Drama Series and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Mandy Moore , pitting mother vs. daughter!), while American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson landed nominations for Best Miniseries or Television Film, Courtney B. Vance for Best Actor in a Miniseries or TV Film, Sarah Paulson for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Film, andJohn Travolta will face off against Brown for Best Supporting Actor.

This Is Us returns with new episodes on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 9 p.m. on NBC.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
