Be still our beating hearts...

Lady Gaga tugged at the heartstrings of scores of fans when she posted on her Instagram page a photo of her mom with her ex, Taylor Kinney, at an event for her charity the Born This Way Foundation. The two had sent letters to soldiers fighting overseas.

Many fans asked Lady Gaga if the photo meant she and Kinney, who called off their engagement and split in July after five years together, were back together.

"Aaahhhh my heart!!!" one person wrote.

Lady Gaga did not answer the fans. She had said on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show in October she's "very close" to Kinney and that she supports him on his show Chicago Fire while he has been supportive of her new album Joanne.

"He's been my lover and a friend for so long," she said. "We love each other. That's it."

Amber Rose & Wiz Khalifa: Rose and Khalifa split in 2014 and share legal and physical custody of their 3-year-old son, Sebastian "Bash" Taylor Thomaz. The glamour model and her rapper ex-husband remain so close that she has even expressed interest in expanding their family, despite the split.

Last Father's Day, Rose paid tribute to her ex with a sweet Instagram post, calling him the "most Awesomest Dad in the World!!! ( Besides my Daddy)."

Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin: Paltrow and her ex-husband, singer of Coldplay, "consciously uncoupled" in 2014. They share daughter Apple, 12, and Moses, 10, and have also remained close since their split, while they have both gone on to date other people. The whole family has spent time together and even gone on vacation together since the breakup.

"It's definitely imperfect but it gets easier with time and you know, we're really good friends," Paltrow said at the #BlogHer15 conference in New York in 2015. "I like him. He's great."

"He's a great dad and so, I feel lucky that we both, along the way, have been able to really put down our own stuff while we're together with the family and that we make it a priority to be together so that the transition for the children wasn't, you know, as brutal as it could be," she added.

Mindy Kaling & B.J. Novak: Life imitated fiction and fiction imitated life when the two dated on and off while filming the show The Office, in which they played on-again, off-again couple Kelly Kapoor and Ryan Howard.

The two remained friendly after the show and their relationship ended. They even continued to work together after The Office; For the past three years, Novak has played recurring character Jamie on her show The Mindy Project.

Kaling tugged at fans' heartstrings once more in April when she tweeted a throwback photo of the two.

The actors' relationship is...complicated.

"I will freely admit: My relationship with B.J. Novak is weird as hell," Kaling told InStyle magazine in 2015.

"He is not my boyfriend, but he is not my best friend," she said. "I guess you could describe our relationship as a 'romantically charged camaraderie with loud arguments,' but I don't think Facebook would accept this as a new status."

Novak said on Watch What Happens Live in in May that he and Kaling have "a great relationship of friendship and support and amusing each other."

Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr: Sure, he's dating Katy Perry and she's engaged to Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel, but the two remain close and managed to play with fans' hearts big time in 2014.

The exes ran into each other on the red carpet at Vanity Fair's post-Oscars party and exchanged a super sweet moment that was captured on camera.

Bloom and Kerr split in 2013 after three years of marriage and share son Flynn, 5.

Bloom and Kerr are "cool with each other" and in addition, "Orlando knows that Evan treats Flynn well so that's all that matters to him," a source had told E! News.
