Emmys by the Numbers: Breaking Down the Figures of TV's Biggest Night

Various actors and shows have received multiple nominations

The 2016 Emmys are right around the corner, and we're here to get you prepared for Sunday's big night.

While there are many shows, actors and actresses who have been nominated before (ahemHouse of Cards), there are plenty of newbies that are coming to the Emmys table. But what makes this year exciting is not only how many nominations certain people and shows have been able to nab but also who will be one step closer to the coveted EGOT—Beyoncé. That's right, Queen Bey is up for an Emmy, everyone.

Beyhive aside, there is a lot to be excited for at this year's Jimmy Kimmel-hosted event, but it is difficult to keep up with who is nominated for what, so E! News has broken down the night's numbers.

2016 Emmys: Notable Nominees

Seven: There are this many actors with multiple nominations, including Amy Schumer (4), Aziz Ansari (3), Sarah Paulson (2) and Keegan-Michael Key (3). Laurie Metcalf, Rachel Bloom and Allison Janney also received multiple kudos.

Six: This many primetime Emmy nominations are going to Netflix original series such as House of CardsMaster of None, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Making a MurdererChef's Table is also up for awards on Sunday.

FiveThe AmericansRay Donovan and He Named Me Malala all scored five nominations.

FourRachel Bloom's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is up for four awards: choreography, music and lyrics, editing and main title theme song.

ThreeGame of Thrones leads the nominations for the third year in a row. The HBO hit series leads the pack with 23 nominations.

Two: This is the second year that the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host has led the evening's event. Kimmel previously hosted the Emmys in 2012.
