When it comes to of-the-moment hairstyles, nothing comes quite as close to the braid...that is, until now.

Braids take a certain amount of practice (read: endless amounts of YouTube tutorial watching) to really harness and nail down, but this hot-off-the-runway style really only requires elastics. Created by celeb hairstylist Jon Reyman for Chromat's spring 2017 NYFW show, which he's dubbing "patterned hair," gives you that same volume and dimension you crave without actually having to know how to plait.

It's a much easier version of the well-loved 'do, but if you ask us, it's a lot cooler, too.
