Justin Timberlake is every bit the suit and tie-wearing, old school Hollywood gent, but don't think for a second this Southern boy has forgotten where he comes from.

The singer-actor-designer and his childhood best friend-turned-business partner Trace Ayala are relaunching their William Rast clothing line, and their newest round of fashions are a major nod to their Tennessee roots and Americana as a whole.

In a newly released promotional clip for William Rast, named after Justin and Trace's grandfathers, the fellas reflect on how their small-town upbringings ultimately influenced their style and the line they've created. As Justin explains it, "To talk about the brand, you have to understand where we grew up."

That would be "in Memphis, like 45 minutes outside of the city," says Trace. Justin points out their hometown of Millington is right down the road from Nashville, "the cornerstone of country music, but Memphis is also the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock and roll."

That's why, J.T. explains, the William Rast brand has "gotta be a little bit country, and it's gotta be a little bit rock and roll at the same time."

Watch the video above to see what Justin means by that and check out several new looks from his newly relaunched William Rast line.
