After a full first day at New York Fashion Week, Kanye West celebrated the best way he knows how—with music.

After successfully launching Yeezy Season 4 on the catwalk, the Grammy-winning musician was surrounded by a bevy of his fellow rappers Wednesday night when he made an unexpected appearance at at New York City's Highline Ballroom.

West's famed music label, GOOD Music, was hosting a concert at the venue and Swizz Beatz, 2 Chainz, Desiigner, French Montana and Tyga were all ready to take the mic. The "Stimulated" performer even had his leading lady, Kylie Jenner, in the crowd to cheer him on during his set, which included his famous "Rack City."

According to an eyewitness, the on-and-off couple were showing major PDA. "They didn't leave each other's sides," the source said. "They seemed really happy and enjoying the music." A second source added there was plenty of smiling, laughing and kissing between the two backstage.

Some of West's female collaborators, including "Fade" music video star Teyana Taylor and Yeezy Season 4 model Chanel Iman also enjoyed the musical night out, Taylor dancing to the track on stage while Iman enjoyed the show from the VIP section.

Still, all eyes were waiting to see if West would ultimately take the stage. "The whole show teased Kanye, but we didn't know he was actually going to come out until he jumped onstage," a second source told E! News. "He had a permanent smile the whole time...You could just tell he was so passionate about the music and young artists."

Those young artists include Tyga, who Kanye signed to his recording label last night and made the announcement to the enthusiastic crowd. After the concert wrapped around 1 a.m., Tyga and Jenner headed back into the car.

Whether it was a sign of good luck or just coincidence, Tyga's "Faded" rang out on the car radio. It may have only been the first day of New York Fashion Week, but it'll always be one to remember for these music makers.
