You keep seeing her name, and it might ring a bell, but you can't put your finger on it.

No worries, dear friends, that's what we're here for. Eiza González has been making headlines lately after being spotted out and about with newly single Calvin Harris (but they're just having fun, you guys), and you may have felt like her name sounded familiar.

That's because this isn't the first time we've seen or heard of Eiza. In fact, she's been in the media for a few years now, so let's take some time to reminisce and get to know the Mexican singer-actress a little better, yes?

1. She's Not a Stranger to Publicity: Casually dating someone in the industry is no easy task. Between constant paparazzi at your every move and seeing your business all over the media, it's quite the change of pace for someone who may not be used to that lifestyle. Luckily for Eiza, she's no stranger to what dating a celeb entails. Before Harris, the young actress was linked to Cristiano Ronaldo and Liam Hemsworth. Yes, she's the girl who was snapped making out with Liam shortly after his breakup from Miley Cyrus a few years ago. So, she's about that life.

2. She's Not Just a Pretty Face: Despite being a stunner and a spokesperson for Neutrogena, Eiza has had her moments of self-doubt when it comes to body image. A few years back, Eiza revealed that she went under the knife to get a nose job, and last year, the former telenovela star admitted to once suffering from an eating disorder.

Posting a throwback photo on Instagram, she captioned the pic, ""Mega #TB 10 years ago! My look! This was my first photo shoot ever! #FunFact every process between the ages of 15 and 20 was very hard for me because I used to eat compulsively. It took me a long time to decipher that it was all happening because I was depressed after my dad died. And it was very hard for me but I changed my eating habits and began eating healthier and I began taking care of myself in all areas."

She continued, "It took me 5 years to get out of depression and accept my loss, and even though I had to go onstage and share happiness, I was just realizing what I was feeling at 15. I'm sharing with you that I couldn't cry, it was hard for me to cry during the scenes in ‘Lola' because I was in denial for a long time and I was emotionally blocked. With a lot of work I managed to make that jump and made it through. I wanted to share this because there are a lot of people that think they can bully me with this phase in my life. And I am very proud of that phase in my life because that's when I found my peace and emotional center.

"The reason why I wanted to talk about this is because adolescence is not easy, not even by itself. Dealing with loss at that age is not simple (any kind of loss) but know that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and we are our biggest motor. Everything that you want to do can be done with perseverance and dedication. Today, I feel happier than ever. Not too skinny or scrawny. After 10 years, this process has been my greatest motor because I showed myself that everything I aim to do, I can do. At the end of the day I think that we need to support each other because we never know what everyone else has been through and we can affect them even more! #DontJudgeSupportInstead I'm sending you kisses and I wish you all the best this weekend."

3. She's Got a Lot of Projects Coming Up: Eiza has come a long way from her first days on the screen. In 2007, Eiza was cast as the lead in Lola, Érase Una Vez (Lola, Once Upon a Time) which became her first big break, and now she's starring in Robert Rodriguez's series From Dusk Till Dawn. She's also had a few big screen moments, including Jem and the Holograms last year, and two films slated for a 2017 release, Boneyard Canteen and Baby Driver.

4. She's Gaining a Star-Studded Circle: You may recognize a number of familiar faces on her Instagram page. Eiza has added some star power to her circle, including fellow latina Bella Thorne, and a number of stars who she recently befriended on the baseball field for a celebrity game, like Jamie Foxx, The Game, Ryan Guzman, Jaleel White, and many more.
