Is it too late to give Laurie Hernandez another medal?

Just when you thought the Team USA gymnastics team was taking a break from balancing, flipping and twirling all around the world, one member of the Final Five proved us wrong when she attended the New York Mets game Saturday night.

Before it was time to play ball, the gold medalist took to the mound in her personalized jersey. But instead of just throwing the ball over home plate, the 16-year-old decided to show some moves before releasing the ball.

"Grateful I got to throw the first pitch at the NY Mets game today!" she shared on Instagram. "(I'll just stay with gymnastics omg)."

But wait, we kind of love what transpired even if it wasn't a strike. In fact, you can count Laurie's Dancing With the Stars partner Val Chmerkovskiy a fan of Saturday evening's pitch too.

"So proud!! Look at the bright side, @50cent threw it worse," he joked online. "You're amazing. Congrats #teamvalaur #dwts."

Before calling it a night, Laurie also got to meet star pitcher Noah Syndergaard. "He's just a tiny bit taller than me no biggie #Almost5feet vs. #Almost7feet," the gymnast wrote on Instagram.

Ultimately, it's time to get back to moving and grooving as the Dancing With the Stars premiere is a little more than a week away.

Although rehearsals have just begun, Val already sees plenty of potential in his partner.

"Still need a lot of work on the frame. but eyyyyy we already got a handshake," he shared on Instagram in between practice. "So excited for the season. Helping this incredible girl reach her ballroom dreams. She's is a real gem."
