There's nothing wrong with being confident—and there's nothing wrong with using Twitter as your own personal soap box.

Well, there is, but Demi Lovato is free to air her views whenever she wants to as far as we're concerned.

Though she self-deprecatingly wondered last night via Twitter whether her "midnight rants are a part of [her] bipolar disorder," Demi is one of the most reliably exciting pop stars to follow on social media. Not least because she speaks her damn mind and is unafraid of getting into it with those who have either wronged her or wronged society, but also because the 23-year-old is inspiring, funny and full of little nuggets of wisdom.

Here is some of the best advice we've pulled from the singer's many, many lengthy Twitter treatises:

Think Before You Tweet: Celebs' Controversial Twitter Posts

"Can't change being crazy.. But you can press unfollow"

First and foremost, this little gem from the wee hours this morning. Demi, you're not crazy, but you summed it all up right there. No one has to keep following and, while the struggle to not engage is real, we promise that if you don't fire off a mean Tweet within the first 30 seconds, the feeling will subside. It will cut your chances of making Jimmy Kimmel Live's "Mean Tweets" segment down considerably, but...dignity.

"Everyone's equal, everyone has a soul and everyone deserves to be loved"

Well, that one kinda speaks for itself.

Biggest Celebrity Twitter Feuds

"Putting the word ART in it isn't a free card to do whatever you want without consequences"

Free speech wins the day, but nothing wrong with trying to inject a little common sense into the conversation.

"Can't please everybody and you don't have to have all the answers, but what's important is to stand up for what you believe in"

Sometimes it seems as though everyone on Twitter has not one iota of self-doubt as to whether they know everything or not, so while this appears obvious, it's actually refreshing.

"Listen to your gut and do what makes YOU happy no matter what!!"

Can we all agree that this one is harder to pull of than it sounds, even when your gut is most trustworthy?

"There's something oddly satisfying about online shopping and adding things to your cart but never actually buying anything."

This is actually one of our favorite money-saving hacks! (Not exactly intense, but rather spot-on.)

"Everyone's entitled to their own opinions and beliefs. No judgement [sic]. But no matter what party you are for, we have to do what's best for our country."

Basically the foundation of the Constitution.

"Sometimes I unfollow people and it's not personal at all"

Take that, apps that let you see who unfollowed you.

"For anyone in recovery who gets anxiety about Thanksgiving, just remember.. It's about giving thanks not just the food."

True story, the holidays aren't everybody's idea of the most wonderful time of the year.

"Eating disorders do not discriminate...Neither does any other mental illness. So please, let's be cautious of the words we use when discussing ED's and other mental illnesses.."

Demi has become one of the most outspoken advocates for mental health education and awareness.

"You don't have to wait till the beginning of a new year to make resolutions for yourself"

Instagram wisdom, but still.

"When are paparazzi gonna learn? If you're respectful to me, I'll be respectful back. Why does it have to be a war of celebs against paps?"

Anyone...?

And in the emojis of the artist herself, in response to a real gem:
