InstagramRyan Reynolds and Blake Lively never actually confirmed the official day of their daughter, James' birth…until today.
While many reports speculated the two welcomed their baby girl into the world "just before the New Year" in 2014, it turns out it was actually a bit prior to then. In fact, it was exactly a year ago today!
Yes, Reynolds took to Twitter to wish his "baby girl" a happy birthday, which also happened to be the first time any of us actually found out she was born on Dec. 16.
"Happy birthday to my baby girl!" He wrote. "Sad I lost my virginity. But thankful I have a daughter."

In fact, in his GQ cover shoot in September, Reynolds opened up about what it's like being a first-time dad.
"The one piece of advice I would say is: Don't listen to any advice. Because there's nothing you can do to prepare for it," he said.
However, he said he's surprised himself quite a bit with his first go around in the parenthood realm. "I'm surprised how patient I am with it. I feel like I could sometimes have a bit of a short fuse, but there's just been this weirdly endless supply of patience."
He added, "I have no problem waking up five times in the middle of the night and changing diapers, and as exhausted as you get, I have this stupid grin on my face all the time. And that's not because I have a nanny or something like that. It's just us right now, and I love it."
