Watch: Bradley Cooper Denies Beyonce Joining "A Star Is Born"

Don't go looking for Bradley Cooper and Beyoncé popping up on the big screen together anytime soon.

Despite a report that the singer has signed on to star alongside the American Sniper actor in a remake of A Star Is Born that he will also direct, Cooper says it's not true.

"Just a rumor," Cooper told me last night at the premiere of his new David O. Russell-directed dramedy Joy.

"But with that said, I would be honored obviously with to work with her in any capacity," he said.

Cooper was reportedly attached to star in a fourth A Star Is Born film three years ago directed by Clint Eastwood. There were rumors at the time that Eastwood also wanted Beyoncé to take on the role played by Janet Gaynor in 1937, Judy Garland 1954 and most recently by Barbra Streisand in 1976 with Kris Kristofferson.

In Joy, Cooper plays a QVC executive who championed Joy Magnano (Jennifer Lawrence), the inventor of The Miracle Mop.

The Golden Globe-nominated film, opening Christmas Day, also stars Robert De Niro, Édgar Ramírez, Elisabeth Röhm, Orange Is the New Black's Dascha Polanco, Virginia Madsen, Diane Ladd and Isabella Rossellini.

(In an earlier version of this story, we reported that Cooper said he hasn't spoken to Beyoncé about the project. Cooper did not say that. We apologize for the error.)
