If there's one thing Kim Kardashian and Kanye West think long and hard about, it's the name of their babies.

For those who missed out on the big news, the happy couple announced Monday afternoon that their newborn son will be called Saint West.

Before the decision was ultimately made two days after giving birth, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star certainly kept fans guessing with her open and honest opinions.

Just three weeks ago, the 35-year-old confessed to E! News exclusively that she had no idea what to name her upcoming baby boy.

"I don't have names, which is so crazy," she told us in November. "We just started talking about it and that was the last thing for us last time. So I feel confident obviously that we'll figure it out."

While North West's mom made it clear that there really was no name, that didn't stop fans from speculating and creating their own rumors.

Over the summer, reports surfaced that Kimye was planning to name their son Easton.  During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, however, Kim admitted that her hubby wasn't the biggest fan.

"I like Easton, Easton West," she confessed back in September. "I don't think my husband likes that name, but I do like it."

As for rumors about naming the son South West, that also wasn't on the radar.

"I don't like South West, though, because that's like, you know, North will always, you know, be better and be more…she has a better direction," she told NPR. "So I wouldn't do that. I don't think we'll go with another direction."

Perhaps all the speculation and suspense shouldn't come as the biggest surprise. After all, it took Kimye almost one whole week after the birth of Nori to finalize her name.

And for those that still hope for a baby that starts with the letter K, we can't help but remember one Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode where the Selfie author explained why she would have to go a different direction, literally.

"If we name our kid with a K name, which is kind of what we want, mainly just because Kanye and I are K's, then they're going to call us the KKK," she explained. In that case, we love North and Saint!

New episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians air Sunday nights at 9 p.m. only on E!
