The masks are off.

Fans of the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice film were greeted with a special treat during tonight's episode of Gotham when a brand new teaser from the Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill movie aired for all of our viewing pleasure.

The nearly-50-second spot featured Batman (Affleck) being held hostage in an underground holding with his arms chained up above his head. And who do you think drops down so swiftly to pay him a little visit? That's right, Superman (Cavill).

There were no words between these two superheros, just intense stares, furrowed brows and a lot of heavy breathing once Superman dared to reach over and rip Batman's mask off his face. Oh no he didn't. Yes, yes he did.

Also starring in the Zack Snyder film are Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Batman's butler Alfred, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet editor Perry White, Diane Lane as Superman's mom Martha Kent and Holly Hunter as U.S. Senator Finch.

The full trailer will debut Wednesday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the movie will hit theaters March 25, 2016.
