Fifteen years of marriage for anyone is an accomplishment, but for celebrities it's practically a miracle.
Today just so happens to be Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones' 15-year wedding anniversary, and while their union hasn't been without its ups and downs, both stars realize reaching this major relationship milestone is a true cause for celebration.
Douglas, 71, posted a touching photo on Facebook of himself and Catherine, now 46, from their wedding day as well as a present-day selfie. "15 years ago and today...." he wrote simply. "Happy Anniversary Catherine!"

His bride was also feeling sentimental about the couple's anniversary. She posted a sweet snap of herself and her hubby together to Facebook as well, writing, "Happy Anniversary dearest Michael! Loving our life together, here's to the next 15!"
The first 15 have included raising the couple's son Dylan, 15, and daughter Carys, now 12. They've also included Michael's battle with tongue cancer in 2010. In 2011, Catherine briefly checked herself into a mental health facility for treatment of her Bipolar II disorder; she would later seek treatment again in 2013. The same year, the longtime loves took a "temporary separation" to spend "some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage." Happily, they reconciled only a few months later.
Earlier this year, Michael revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he and Catherine are "back, stronger than ever."
"I think every couple has their difficult times," he said. "The only problem is, as you well know, we're all in the public eye and it tends to get a little more exposed than most."
We're glad their celebrity status didn't cause any permanent damage to their relationship. Like we said above, 15 years of marriage is something to celebrate, and based on Michael and Catherine's social media tributes to one another, it seems safe to say they're both glad to have stayed the course together.
