InstagramElisabetta Canalis can't stop gushing over her new daughter and from the looks of these photos—neither can we!
The Italian actress welcomed the birth of her first child, a daughter named Skyler Eva, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Tuesday in Los Angeles. The brunette model posted a photo of the newborn swaddled in a zebra print blanket in the arms of her husband, orthopedic surgeon Brian Perri, on the day of her birth.
"My life is full of love because of you," Canalis captioned the photo before switching to her native Italian. "La mia vita e' piena di amore grazie a voi. Benvenuta al mondo Skyler Eva ! Welcome into the world our lil Skyler Eva 29 - 9 - 2015." In translation, Canalis said her life is full of love thanks to the two of them. Just look at that little patch of dark hair!
In a second photo, we're lucky enough to get a close-up look at the adorable cherub's down-turned pout. Little Skyler already looks just as gorgeous as her mother. Canalis gushed over the baby, writing about her daughter's first day of life.
"Skyler giorno #1 Grazie a tutti voi per avermi mandato auguri e pensierini durante tutti questi mesi! Vi abbraccio forte' Thanks guys for sending me so much love during these past months .. Skyler day #1"
This is the first child for the couple, who wed almost a year ago to the day on Sept. 14, 2014 in Sardinia, Italy. Coincidentally, the couple's nuptials landed just a handful of days before Canalis' ex-boyfriend, George Clooney, met wife Amal Clooney at the alter in a lavish wedding set in Venice, Italy. Clooney and Canalis dated for three years, from 2009 to 2011.
The 54-year-old and former Alamuddin also just celebrated their one year anniversary two days early over a casual dinner at Asenebo Japanese restaurant in Studio City, Calif.—Clooney even wore jeans. As for a baby Clooney, there are no signs of pregnancy for the couple, despite Clooney's recent comment that he's "thought about it."
