Sam Smith, Cara Delevingne

You go, Sam Smith!

This weekend proved to be one for the record books as the "Stay With Me" crooner traveled to the Rock in Rio music festival.

While Sam was more than excited to experience Rihanna live in concert, the 23-year-old managed to have some innocent fun with a world famous supermodel during his first helicopter ride ever.

"Helicopter Virginity has been taken @caradelevingne," he wrote on Instagram before Cara Delevingne shared a video of the experience. "I've never been in a helicopter before. This is killing me. Oh my God! Oh my God!"

Perhaps this special ride in the air made it possible for the duo to rock out to Rihanna's unforgettable performance at the annual festival.

In several Instagram posts, fans quickly learned that the pair had more than just a good time while listening to hits including "Umbrella," "Unfaithful" and "Take a Bow."

"Hands down the best pop show I have EVER seen. *On my knees and continuously bowing* @badgalriri," Sam shared with a screenshot of his dance moves. "When @badgalriri drops Shirley Bassey before 'Diamonds.'"

Cara added, "So much ❤! I cannot begin to explain how much fun I had last night, this girl continues to blow me away with her talent and dedication and I am so proud of her. I would happily watch that show everyday #RockinRio #canwedothatagainplease."

As for that frightening helicopter ride, it certainly looks like everything turned out more than fine. In fact, Sam is ready to head back to Rio sooner rather than later.

"Rio. What a beautiful few days. Thank you so much for having me!!" he wrote Sunday night. "I can't wait to hopefully come back very soon!!!!"
