Chrissy Teigen took to Twitter on Friday to thank fans for their supportive words after revealing she and husband John Legend had been battling infertility.

While co-hosting Tyra Presents FABLife this week, the 29-year-old and fellow model Tyra Banks both opened up about their fertility struggles and expressed frustration at people's questions and why they don't have kids. Teigen said she and husband John Legend, 36, had seen fertility doctors.

"Regarding the IVF business, I have never gotten so many kind, encouraging words in my life," Teigen tweeted. "You guys are awesome and appreciated."

"It makes me really happy that by @tyrabanks and I sharing our stories and struggles, a lot of you feel like you can do the same and not feel ashamed!" she added.

On Tyra Presents FABLife, Banks, 41, who's dating photographer Erik Asla, got emotional while talking about her fertility struggle.

"I'm so tired of seeing on my social media, 'Why don't you have kids? Why don't you have kids?'" she said. "You don't know. You don't know what I'm going through. You have no idea."

Banks told People she had undergone in vitro fertilization treatments before to try to conceive.

"I've had some not happy moments with that, very traumatic moments," Banks said. "It's difficult as you get older. It's not something that can just happen."
