Early 2000s nostalgia alert!

Remember Craig David's hit songs "7 Days" and "Fill Me In"? The early 2000s hits were the British crooner's entrance onto the U.S. music scene, but since that album we haven't heard much from him, much to our chagrin. But that's all changing!

If you forgot how amazing Craig is, let us remind you. The "Walking Away" performer appeared on BBC Radio 1Xtra and started out with "Fill Me In," but decided the 2000 track needed a 2015 facelift, so he had the DJ drop a beat. He chose Justin Bieber and Jack Ü's "Where Are Ü Now" and the rest is history.

Just kidding, but the actual result is amazing. Craig matches his famous tune to the beat of the Biebs' summer hit, and it works perfectly. But it wasn't just your average mashup. Craig pulled out his phone after the first verse and chorus and fired out an original rap to the beat of the song, and that's when the whole studio—and us—went wild.

Not only did Craig's team go nuts for it, Diplo, who is half of Jack Ü, caught wind of it and tweeted his approval. Justin's manager, Scooter Braun, also shared the video with Justin who also said he was a "huge fan" of Craig's and felt "honored" that he chose to do the mashup.

But the most exciting part about this whole exchange was when Craig expressed an interest in working with Justin.

Do we smell a 2016 comeback?!
