Talk about ominous!

The voiceover in the latest trailer for season two of The Flash is pretty scary stuff from the get-go. "My name is Jay Garrick, and your world is in danger," says Teddy Sears' new character as he arrives in Central City.

And yes, good ol' Cisco (Carlos Valdes) asks what we're all wondering: "What other worlds are there?"

As we'll learn in the promo, it turns out that the singularity above Central City acted as a portal, and now all sorts of supernaturally gifted bad guys could find their way into town. This could include Atom Smasher (Adam Copeland, a.k.a. WWE's Edge), whom we see at the end of the clip.

When Sears' casting was announced at Comic-Con, producers teased at the time that Garrick would arrive to warn the S.T.A.R. Labs team of impending danger—and it appears this is it! "Having Jay Garrick come onto the show was one of our earliest ideas. It is so exciting, as we rush into season two, that we finally get to bring the Crimson Comet to life," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement.

Naturally, the trailer also features some excellent speedster action from Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, along with Cisco and tryst partner Lisa Snart (Peyton List) sharing some flirty banter.

Sears as Garrick, a.k.a. the first superhero to call himself The Flash, joins new series regular Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, One Tree Hill's Shantel VanSanten as metahuman-obsessed potential Barry Allen love interest Patty Spivot, and Tony Todd as the voice of the villain Zoom.

The Flash season two premieres Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
