Now this is how you celebrate a major milestone.
Eric Stonestreet recently took to Instagram to share a number of videos chronicling that one super-casual day where the Kansas State University marching band surprised his parents, Vince and Jamey Stonestreet, on their 50th wedding anniversary.
The entire band came together with the K-State cheerleading squad and mascot Willie the Wildcat to put on a rocking performance for the actor's 'rents. In the awesome videos, Vince and Jamey can be spotted busting a move to the music. So cute!
(Needless to say, it's much more family friendly than the NSFW halftime show K-State performed—and apologized for—this past weekend.)
Stonestreet, 43, grew up in Kansas City and went on to graduate from Kansas State so it's no surprise that the entire family bleeds purple.
You might even remember that hilarious moment last year when Stonestreet traveled back to his alma mater with co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson to surprise his fraternity brothers at the Pi Kappa Alpha house. Much to no one's surprise, hilarity ensued as the duo even crashed the star's old dorm room and found its new residents were up to no good.
But beyond gifting his parents with an unforgettable anniversary present, Eric has nothing but love for his supportive family.
Back in 2010, Stonestreet told People he based his flamboyant Modern Family character on his mom, adding, "At some point we stopped being mother and son and transitioned to being friends. She loves playing cards, and she won't let me go to bed until she wins. She's a sweet, kind person, but I would put her dirty looks up against anybody!"
