Time flies when you're young and in love!
Most people were celebrating one last hurrah before the end of summer this weekend, but Zac Efron and Sami Miró had an even more special reason than Labor Day to party—it was their one-year anniversary!
The We Are Your Friends star and his model girlfriend both rang in their Sept. 5 anniversary with adorable photos that they shared on Instagram over the weekend. The shot Efron shared was taken through a window and shows the hunky actor giving his ladylove a kiss on the head while she takes a selfie.
"Happy anniversary baby :) I love you @samimiro September 5th," he captioned the pic."
Miró shared a selfie, but it wasn't the one she snapped in her boyfriend's picture! Miró has her arm draped around her boyfriend while they both smile for the camera. "Time flies when you're having fun," she captioned her picture. "Happy anniversary baby I love you too @zacefron September 5."
She also included the emoji of a boy and a girl holding hands.
Although they have been spotted out in public multiple times, packing on the PDA and going on adorable dates, Miró and Efron mostly keep their relationship's presence on social media to a minimum out of respect for their own privacy.
"It kind of just comes with the territory," Miró told Elle.com in March, "and I know there's no really changing that, so you have to just embrace it...I'm not trying to hide anything in my life. If I was dating someone who wasn't in the limelight, I might have more photos on [Instagram] of our relationship, but I do think it's important. I mean, it's what is going on in my life, and I think that my social media can still represent that."
Even though she prefers to keep her private life private, Miró understands that dating such a high-profile celeb comes with its highs and lows. She has, however, learned what comes with the territory.
"I think that you have to take that with a grain of salt, and put yourself in other people's positions," she added. "I think that's actually a really big part of it, putting yourself in their shoes, and trying to understand where they're coming from, and then it kinds of makes sense."
It seems like they have it all figured out, as they're marking a cute milestone! Happy anniversary, Zac and Sami!
