The 52-year-old actor appeared on the red carpet on Friday for the premiere of his upcoming film Black Mass at the Venice Film Festival, where Depp's wife, Amber Heard, was on hand to support her man. "They're adorable together," a source tells E! News, adding that the two looked very much in love in the theater with a lot of PDA.
The attractive couple, who haven't been spotted together since April and have rarely been seen since their February 2015 nuptials, coordinated their outfits for the occasion and both looked stunning in black ensembles.
Heard, 29, rocked a sexy black gown that hugged her curves and teamed the look with gold jewelry. Depp, meanwhile, looked sharp in a tuxedo, flashing a subtle smile for the cameras.
Back in April, the couple found themselves on the receiving end of breakup rumors, but a source told E! News at the time that the two, who met while they were shooting the 2011 film The Rum Diary, are still going strong.
"They've always been together," an insider said. "They travel for work then come home. They live together and are very much in love, despite what's being said about breakup rumors."
Still, the source added, "They are very much in love with each other, but because of their strong personalities and opinions, they do argue a lot."
This is the second marriage for Depp, who has been garnering rave reviews for his performance in Black Mass. He was previously married to makeup artist Lori Anne Allison from 1983 to 1985 and he split from longtime partner Vanessa Paradis, the mother of his two children, in 2012 after 14 years together.
Back in April 2014, Depp gushed over his beautiful bride in an interview with Today, and he even sported her engagement ring on numerous occasions, as it was initially too big for the 3 Days to Kill stunner.
"She's sharp as a tack," he said after telling Savannah Guthrie that Heard is a "wonderful girl." "A Southern belle and sweet as can be, and very good for me."
