It's no secret that Hollywood's slightly majorly obsessed with women's bodies, but you might be surprised to find out how early the pressure begins for some young girls.

On Tuesday's The View, Raven-Symoné revealed to her co-hosts that "it was definitely hard" growing up in show business and trying to maintain a healthy body image. "I remember not being able to have the bagel or anything at [craft services]—we call it crafty—where it's just a table of food ready for you to eat whenever you want," recalled the former child star, now 29. "And I remember people were like, 'You can't eat that. You're getting fat.' I'm like, 'I'm 7! I'm hungry!'"

The View co-host explained that there was pressure on her not to gain weight "even up until I got to 180 pounds on That's So Raven."

When Raven's Disney show wrapped in 2007, she took a hiatus from Hollywood so she could focus on her health. "I was stressed out," she told People in a 2011 interview. "Normal 15-year-olds had to worry about prom. I grew up worried about memorizing my lines so my show wouldn't get canceled."

During this break from the biz, Raven shed a whopping 70 pounds...all without losing an ounce of her identity. "I could look in the mirror and see me at 200 pounds or 135 pounds. and I'm still the same person," she told the mag. "People say, 'You look so pretty!' But I was pretty before...It messes with your head a little bit."

Speaking with her View co-hosts Tuesday, Raven admitted that "of course" there have been times she felt "depressed" about not fitting into a certain mold. But how did she move past that self-consciousness and learn to embrace her body? Watch the video above to hear what Raven has to say about that and much more.
