The 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards is just around the corner—and with it, all the va-va-va-voom, bold flavor we've come to expect from the star-studded affair.

The biggest Latin luminaries in entertainment will return to Miami on Thursday to celebrate the year in music, but will they be donning the same trends of award shows past? Or will they stun with a new approach that will set the red carpet en fuego?

"The key word is Latin," celebrity hairstylist and ESC member Marc Mena said. "Expect something out of the ordinary at these awards. The Latin community loves beauty and fashion and they're not afraid to show it."

Before the big night, we're putting our trend predictions on record.

The expected: Form-fitting gowns and colorful tuxedos
The hope: An unofficial homage to Oscar de la Renta
The surprise: High-low hems and white tuxedos

There was never a mermaid gown that Billboard Latin Music Awards attendees didn't like. We're all for accentuating the assets, but why not embrace the Miami vibes with more billowy silhouettes and shorter hemlines? We wouldn't put it past the night's biggest names to honor the late Oscar de la Renta by wearing his designs or those of his handpicked successor, Peter Copping.

The expected: The no-makeup makeup look
The hope: Bold beautiful looks
The surprise: Updos, coral lips

It's been the year of barely-there beauty looks on the red carpet. We wouldn't be surprised if celebs wanted to flaunt their natural beauty, after all. But, let's be real: It's Miami—cue the flash! "At this show, you can expect beautiful updos and lots of color, including major smoky eyes and beautiful coral lips," Marc noted. "Expect to be visually stimulated on the red carpet."

The expected: Jennifer Lopez honors Selena with musical tribute
The hope: Jennifer Lopez honors Selena in Selena fashion
The surprise: Jennifer Lopez honors Selena in Selena fashion with special guests

J.Lo will be sure to give an authentic, heartfelt performance to celebrate the late Selena Quintanilla's 44th birthday and legacy. Would we love to see her wear some form of the studded bustiers, strappy bralettes or sequined crop tops made famous by the late fashion designer-singer-actress? Yes! Would we love to see her joined by other industry leaders—Belinda? Pedro Fernández?—in matching ensembles just like Selena once did with her own band members? We can only dream.
