Wow, fans are really not letting this go.

It's been a whole four days since the sudden and tragic death of Derek Shepherd and the loss apparently stings just as much as it did on Thursday night. So much so, in fact, that someone's gone and started a Change.org petition to bring Dr. McDreamy back from the dead.

And we should warn you, the organizers have some very harsh words for those behind the Grey's Anatomy plot twist.

"This is important because you cannot have people invest a DECADE into a character and then you just terminate them like that," the description passionately reads. "You have people out here donating blood and organs trying to save lives, wanting to become doctors and all from committing to this television show...just to let us down like this. You've destroyed us. COMPLETELY!"

For the record, we've been unable to locate the exact statistics on the loss to the medical community as a result of this random episode of television, but we estimate it to be approximately slim to none.

The petition goes on to list such passionate pleas as "Why Shonda, why?" and "Seriously Shonda?! Seriously Ms. Rhimes?!" Harrowing words, indeed.

So what is it that these dedicated fans want? In a nutshell, they want Patrick Dempsey back on the show. More specifically, they'd prefer for his death to actually be a hallucination. "I think that with all the brilliant ideas and writers that you have, that you make this episode a DREAMT one," the petition states.

The fans also threaten to sue series creator Shonda Rhimes for this travesty, and they would like to know how she sleeps at night. (We're going to guess very well.)

At the time of publishing this article, the Bring Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepard [sic] BACK!!!" petition has a total of 25,102 signatures. Shonda's probably quaking in her very expensive boots.
