Chinese, Chinese-American Designers

It's almost Met Gala time, guys!

Obviously we're super-psyched for the May 4 fête—not only for the haute designs sure to be showcased on the red carpet, but for the cultural aspect of this year's ceremony: Named "Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film, and Fashion," the 2015 Met Gala will hopefully give us a glimpse into the worlds of designers who work with a strong Eastern influence, as well as those who possess an eye and appreciation for the art, history and craftsmanship of China.

In honor of the upcoming event, we've rounded up 15 of some of the biggest (or up-and-coming!) Chinese and Chinese American designers. Some of these names might be familiar to you (Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang and Peter Som are mainstays of New York Fashion Week), and a few might be new. Either way, each of these designers have made an impact on fashion, and will continue to shape the global narrative with their distinct artistic visions.
