The Image Direct It looks like Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin are still going hot and heavy!
The Hunger Games star and Coldplay singer reunited in New York City Saturday for a hot date at famed restaurant Tavern on the Green, E! News confirms. A source tells E! News that Lawrence enjoyed a roast beef sandwich while the rocker noshed on some eggs Benedict before heading out for a stroll in Central Park.
"They talked quietly and seemed very happy," the source says. "After lunch, she was overheard saying she wanted to walk through Strawberry Fields," the source tells us. "She went back to her SUV and got a heavier sweater and changed into more comfortable shoes."
But the usually low-key couple didn't hide from fans. In fact, the source tells us that she requested a center table because "she wanted to face the park." Fans tried to snap some pics of the couple but a bodyguard soon put a stop to it. Afterwards they returned to the Carlyle Hotel where they tried to hide and remain incognito.
The Oscar winner and her Grammy-winning pal reunited on Easter Sunday, too, when they caught a flight on a private jet from New Jersey's Teterboro airport around 2:00 p.m. to Boston, E! News has learned. However Martin's ex Gwyneth Paltrow spent her Easter Sunday buying her kids two bunnies! She Instagrammed a pic of her new pets, writing, "New additions to the family! #thesmilesaysitall #happyeaster."
Although the X-Men star has been busy filming her next movie, Joy, in Boston, a source dished to the magazine that she and Martin "communicate daily."
"They see each other when they can, yet each continues to do their own thing," a source close to the Goop goddess' ex said. "Both have full plates, and they like it that way."
Martin and Paltrow have remained close since "consciously uncoupling," and have even enjoyed a spring break vacation together with their children, Apple and Moses, just last week. They have spent ample time together, vacationing and hanging out with each other in order to keep a close relationship with their kids. Martin opted to spend Valentine's Day with his family in Malibu.
However, a source told E! News that the V-Day outing "was nothing romantic from what it seemed," and that the famous twosome were merely on hand to watch their kids take surf lessons.
Although they are no longer together, the Oscar-winning actress and her ex have only gushed about each other since splitting. She told SiriusXM that she and Martin "actually have a really strong friendship."
"We have kids, we're always going to be a family," she added. "We laugh and we have fun, but there are times when it's really difficult. Things happen and you're like, 'I'm sure he doesn't want to hang out with me and I don't want to hang out with him,' but for the sake of the kids, you do it…You say, 'I really want to find the love for you and I want to forgive you and I want you to forgive me and let's have some fun as a family.'"
