After dating rapper French Montana for about eight months, a source confirms to E! News exclusively that the couple is no longer together.
The insider tells us that Khloé officially broke things off with French, who is having trouble with the split and "won't really accept it." The source adds that Khloé grew weary of his "needy, obsessive" behavior and she slowly began distancing herself. The exes are still in contact and French, 29, is trying to save their romance, "but eventually they will be totally broken up," the source adds. "For all intents and purposes, Khloé is single again."
The source says that the breakup has nothing to do with reports that French may have been using Khloé's fame to boost sales of his recently released album. "That stuff never bothered her because she doesn't care what people think," says the source. "She's just decided to move on."
Despite splitting up romantically, the insider adds, "Khloé thinks he's a great guy but it just wasn't working out."
Khloé and French romance rumors began swirling back in the spring when the duo was spotted frequently hanging out together. They also enjoyed several romantic getaways before confirming their romance. In June, French was by Khloé's side at her 30th birthday party. The former couple also spent lots of time together in the Hamptons this summer while Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian filmed their newest E! show, Kourtney and Khloé Take the Hamptons.
