Orange is the New Black

Orange Is the New Black has been canceled! Except it hasn't.

A hoax published by the "satirical site" called Empire News sent fans into a tizzy on Saturday, by reporting that the hit Netflix series was gone for good, "in a bizarre turn of events."

Bizarre indeed.

The report spread like wildfire on Facebook and Twitter, but we are happy to report...There is no truth to it whatsoever.

Orange Is the New Black will come back for a third season.

Not sure if it's just us, but the report isn't much of a joke. Well, unless you read alllll the way down to the bottom of Empire News' story, which features this bogus quote from Netflix CEO Reed Hastings:

"A woman's place is in the home, in the kitchen, taking care of children. A woman in jail? How does anyone watch this show in the first place? It's like we took everything bad about OZ, and make this show with the lefotvers."

We suppose we should be...laughing?

As you were.
