It's official. Ryan Seacrest has a new lady in his life and she's the cutest thing ever.

The man of many hats appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which aired today, and made a big announcement—he is now a dog owner (for the first time in his life!).

"I made a deadline with my other Ellen, Ellen K, who is on the radio with me because she didn't believe that I would do it. I had dogs in relationships and then they end and the dogs would go," he began to tell Ellen DeGeneres.

"So I decide, 'All right, I'm going to make this deadline with Ellen 'on the air' and I'm gonna meet the deadline.' This is my first dog."

Seacrest then shared a photo of his cutie, a precious black lab, who he decided to name Georgia, after his home state.

"So she's not here. But her name…the name I had the name before I had the dog. So I came up with a name and I got so excited about the name that I figured okay I have to follow through with the deadline and getting the dog. So I'm from the state of Georgia, so I named her Georgia," he said.

And while Ellen was happy that Ryan made this big leap of a commitment, she was still worried about him juggling such a busy schedule while also taking care of a puppy.

She asked him, "No, you're never home. Whose gonna raise that dog?"

"I'm gonna bring that dog to work," he said. "Georgia is gonna come to work with me sometimes. Not all the time, but sometimes."

That led to Ellen lecturing Ryan about dogs. Watch the clip and see for yourself!
