In case you haven't already heard, Kristen Stewart will soon be sharing the big screen with Jennifer Lawrence's boyfriend Nicholas Hoult in Equals.

It was recently revealed that the pair signed on to the Drake Doremus-directed film, which is described as an updated version of the 1956 film 1984 (based on George Orwell's famous dystopian novel of the same name), and since K.Stew and Hoult will be each other's love interest, it's clear that they had to have a chemistry read first, right? Nope.

Stewart tells E! News during the Sundance Film Festival that although she's met Nicholas already, they haven't tested the waters yet. "Drake works in a really cool way, he had a pair in mind and if one of us wasn't able to do it, we'd both be out. That group works. And if it didn't, he would've chosen two other people," she explains.

The Twilight actress has openly said that she's "terrified" of taking on this role, but she also tells us she's very "excited."

"I'm so excited. I mean, Drake Doremus is one of my favorite directors right now. I would do anything with him. This is the first movie that he's working off a script, usually he works off an outline. And I love that style. I love being able to find something naturally and have it live and really breath. So I can't wait to be thrown into his world," she tells us.

In a recent interview Doremus explained that the film is "about love in a world where love really doesn't exist anymore," and revealed that J.Law was actually one of the first actresses to read the script. Although Lawrence, who Doremus said was brought to tears by the story, could not see herself in the role.

"It became evident in my head that Nick and Kristen would have great chemistry," Doremus said before Stewart added, "It's a love story of epic, epic, epic proportion. I'm scared."
