Ireland Baldwin

Julianne Hough isn't the only star to land in hot water due to her controversial Halloween costume.

Ireland Baldwin got major heat for her Native American outfit and responded to criticism on her Twitter page.

"Ok everyone. I apologize if my Halloween costume offended you and your culture PERSONALLY. However, I don't apologize to a majority of you who thought it was necessary to return the favor with a lot of hateful mentions," she wrote.

"A Native American costume was AN OPTION at a Halloween store," the 18-year-old explained. "I copied a Disney character and I'm sorry that it offended you."

Baldwin went on to share that she was dressing up as an Indian chief from the Disney favorite Peter Pan.

But the real revelation came towards the end of her tweet spree, when the blond beauty revealed that she is fact part Native American.

"I respect all cultures and I would never mock one. I am Cherokee Indian, and I am also well aware of what many tribes encountered in the past," she said.

Alec Baldwin's outspoken daughter also posted a photo of the Disney character and captioned it, "This is who I was being for Halloween at Disneyland. You are all pathetic."
