Some celebrities take to Twitter to address a cheating scandal. Others ignore the rumors altogether. And if you're Gwyneth Paltrow, you have your powerhouse rep issue a simple statement and then step out just over one week later with a smile on your face while baring your picture-perfect abs in a crop top.

Seriously, the woman is 41 years old.

The blond beauty showed off her extremely toned tummy while attending a launch dinner for The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet at the Arts Club in London on Monday night. Paltrow stunned in a pair of cropped black trousers, pointed toe pumps and a white and gold crop top with beaded black detailing, adding minimal makeup and a simple straight hairstyle to the stunning ensemble in an effort to keep all the attention on her enviable abs.

Less than two weeks ago, a new report in the New York Post's Page Six claimed that Vanity Fair is investigating an alleged affair between the World's Most Beautiful Woman and Jeffrey Soffer, a real estate developer who owns the high-end Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami and recently wed model Elle Macpherson.

"Vanity Fair is asking if Gwyneth had an affair with Jeff back in 2008 when he reopened the Fontainebleau," a source told Page Six. "He flew her in for the party, and she stayed at his house" (Paltrow and husband Chris Martin will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary in December).

V.F. is indeed planning to run a piece on Paltrow, despite the Iron Man star's protests, although it's unclear exactly what specific topics writer Vanessa Grigoriadis plans to address.

Page Six alleges that the profile will delve into Gwyneth's fallout with former friend Madonna as well as her casting couch experiences, although a source close to V.F. magazine later told E! News "everything Page Six said about the Vanity Fair article is not true."

The actress' rep, Stephen Huvane, also addressed the cheating allegations, telling E! News:

"Jeff is a longtime friend of Gwyneth's and there was never a romantic relationship between them," he insisted.

The feud between Vanity Fair and Paltrow originally began after the actress, upon hearing that the publication was planning an article that seemed to have turned into a why-people-love-to-hate-on-Gwyneth type of piece, sent emails to people in her circle, encouraging them to not cooperate with the magazine, sources confirmed to E! News.

The magazine's Editor-in-Chief Graydon Carter later told London's Times magazine in an interview published on Sunday, Oct.13 that Vanity Fair plans to print a story, whether or not Paltrow is pleased with the content.

"We started a story on her. We have a very good writer and it'll run," Carter said. "Well, she sort of forced my hand."

He added: "Some famous people believe that they live in a cone of celebrity that protects them...But it doesn't really exist anymore in L.A. unless they stay in. I mean, you can be a well-known movie star and go decades without getting an embarrassing picture in a magazine just by leading a quiet, normal life."

While Paltrow may be a polarizing public figure, there's one thing we can all agree on: girl's abs looks damn good.
