As if every day isn't Cat Day!

But today, October 29, is the official day: The 8th annual National Cat Day. Activist Colleen Paige founded the holiday in 2005 to raise awareness for pet adoption and to honor that little ball of fur that rules your world.

Cat Day "encourages cat lovers to celebrate the cat(s) in their life for the unconditional love and companionship they bestow upon us," the website explains. (Get more information on adoption here.)

Now let us see pictures of your kitties!

Tweet or Instagram a picture of your cat using the hashtag #ELovesCats!

Don't forget to tell us his or her name too. How else are we supposed to properly introduce ourselves? We'll collect the best pictures and put them in a gallery and you can vote on which kitten you think is cutest!

In the end, we'll crown E!'s Cutest Cat of 2013.
