When it comes to Sean Combs' name, Ellen DeGeneres is clearly just as confused as the rest of us.

"Is it Diddy? Because you keep changing it," the talk show host inquired during the rapper's Friday appearance on her show. "It was Puffy, it was Daddy, who are you now?"

"I do have a problem with that, and I have admitted to it," Combs replied with mock seriousness.

When DeGeneres asked if he goes to meetings to talk about it, the media mogul noted, "I have been looking for meetings, and there are no name-changing meetings."

Not surprising, of course. After all, as DeGeneres pointed out, such meetings would most likely only include Combs and Prince.

"I've been in the Puff Daddy spirit because I'm launching this network [Revolt TV] and I had to go back to my roots of aggression and intensity and relentlessness. And, that's Puff Daddy. That's a super hero," Combs pointed out. "It's not technically a name change. It's just that I'm channeling one of my previous alter egos."

Roger that, Diddy.

Or is it Puff Daddy?
