Watch: Exclusive Interview With "Ravenswood" Creator

We recently had the pleasure of traveling to Ravenswood, (Pssst, it was amazing!) and we sat down with creator and executive producer Marlene King to uncover even more eerie secrets about this new series.

King tells us, "We've got this really awesome story and it's so compelling. These kids are drawn together for a reason, they don't even know each other and they're, in part, strangers when they meet in the first episode. But very quickly they realize they have to work together to overcome this curse that is haunting them."

Whoa, not so fast Marlene—they have to make it out of that waterlogged car first!

The premiere episode introduced viewers to cursed town that is filled with secrets, surprises and some truly terrifying supernatural vibes. (Side note: Who else is absolutely terrified to take a bath now?!) King exclusively reveals that Ravenswood will continue to wade deeper and deeper into the supernatural swimming pool as the season progresses.

"We're open to all kinds of supernatural fun stuff and as we get to know the town of Ravenswood," she explains. "As we start to understand the curse and what it is and how it came about and how these teens might be able to overcome it, we're open to many supernatural elements that may exist that are bubbling under the surface of Ravenswood."

Hmmm…we're willing to bet our favorite pair of heels that Miranda (Nicole Gale Anderson) has some kind of connection to the spirit realm. Only time will tell!

Check out our full interview with King above to find out their horror stories that inspired Ravenswood and whether or not Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) will be able to continue with their long-distance romance.
