New Girl

What is it about Halloween that makes TV episodes so much better? Whatever it is, we're grateful for it.

To help prepare everyone for the onslaught of small screen spooky celebrations, we have an exclusive first look at the Halloween episodes for New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Plus, since every episode is Halloween-esque on Sleepy Hollow, we have some creepy preview pictures from the Nov. 4 episode.

Below are synopses for Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl's Halloween offerings, both airing Tuesday, Oct. 22:

Brooklyn Nine-Nine, "Halloween": It's Halloween in Brooklyn, and a busy night for the 99th precinct with a holding cell full of costumed perps. Amy (Melissa Fumero) loathes Halloween, and hates that she has to wear a costume while going undercover with Charles (Joe Lo Truglio). Meanwhile, Jake (Andy Samberg) makes a bet with Captain Holt (Andre Braugher).

New Girl, "Keaton": It's Halloween, and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) is loving his new life without morality and conscience. Desperate to put an end to Schmidt's poisonous behavior and restore her relationship with Cece (Hannah Simone), Jess (Zooey Deschanel), along with Nick (Jake Johnson) and Winston (Lamorne Morris), conspires to change Schmidt and make him apologize. But when Schmidt discovers he's being manipulated, all hell breaks loose causing major trouble. Meanwhile, Winston is the only loft-mate to receive an invitation to Cece's Halloween party, but when Schmidt suggests Cece doesn't consider Winston a true friend and is only using him to get back at Schmidt, Winston sets out to prove him wrong.
