Ah, the Met Gala. The gowns, the glamour, the celebs.

If you ask us, it's quite simply the most exciting (and stylish!) event of the year!

After all, at this exquisite and glamorous fundraiser, the fashion elite gather at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City decked out in the most dazzling designer ensembles known to humankind, all in the name of supporting the arts.

And while the lavish bash has always been filled with top-tier talent and major celeb names, it looks like Anna Wintour is determined to make the event even more exclusive than ever this coming year.

How so? Well, raising ticket prices to a whopping $25,000 each (from last year's modest $15,000 ticket price) should do the trick!

Yep, you read that right.

A source tells E! News that while large organizations typically purchase tables for a sizable sum for their esteemed guests, smaller designers can indeed purchase individual tickets for a mere $25,000, should they be approved by the Vogue editrix.

And while the purpose is to raise funds for the organization, we're told that the price increase for 2014 is more of an effort to keep the extravagant soiree as exclusive as possible.

Noted.

At this rate, it looks like our dreams of attending the Met Gala one day are pretty much dashed—we'll be admiring from afar at any rate!
