With the news that Bruce and Kris Jenner have decided to separate after 22 years of marriage, it got us thinking about other dynamic duos who chose to have their lives chronicled for all the world to see.

Unfortunately, it appears as if the white-hot spotlight may have been a bit too much considering how many of the unions sadly ended in divorce.

Here are just a few of the reality-show couples who have split.

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey: Soon after tying the knot in 2002, the newlyweds starred in the appropriately titled MTV series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica from 2003 to 2005. However, just months following the show's final episode, Simpson filed for divorce.

Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy: The former Real Housewives of New York star met Hoppy in 2009 when she was still a part of the show's orginal cast. Her spinoff series, Bethenny Getting Married, followed their trip to the altar. Next up was Bethenny Ever After, which focused on their married life as well as the birth of their daughter, Bryn. In December 2012, the couple called it quits.

Hulk Hogan and Linda Hogan: While the possibility that the couple would part ways was the subject of an episode of their VH1 reality show, Hogan Knows Best, they ultimately reconciled. But just one month after the series came to an end in 2007, Linda filed for divorce after 24 years together.

Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin: A little TLC obviously did not go a long way for these two as their 10-year marriage crumbled right before the eyes of fans of Jon & Kate Plus 8 which, following the 2009 split, was simply renamed Kate Plus 8.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline: Britney and Kevin: Chaotic may have only been a five-episode series when it aired in 2005, but it managed to document the couple's relationship from courtship to engagement to wedding. What it did not capture, however, was the pair's divorce, which went down two years later.

Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry: On VH1's My Fair Brady, which ran from 2005 to 2008, fans watched the couple's roller-coaster relationship that included allegations of cheating, blowups and, of course, a wedding. But in May of 2011, the two separated and their divorce became final in 2012.
